I am sure that just like the team and management of Speak Asia you too must have viewed the motivated, misconceived and baseless news item relating to Speak Asia on Star News channel.
We are shocked to see the extremely malicious, derogatory and defamatory allegations levelled therein. The entire story appears to be planted by them due to a business rivalry with Speak Asia.
We would like to reassure all of you that there is no truth or substance in these unfounded allegations and necessary instructions have already been issued to take all possible legal actions against the channel.
Please be assured that we will not allow any organization or individual to impede and hamper the well-earned image, trust and respect of Speakasia and thereby attempt to impede its progress and growth. Such attempts will be met with the most stringent legal action.

ReplyDeleteNothing has been done by Speak Asia so far which can prove that the allegations made by the media are wrong and baseless! No comfort zone for panelists yet.

ReplyDeleteFew things which did not add up in press conference and I was surprised none of the business journalists were able to do this math. They said they made 325 Crores of which about 250 was given to Panelists and about 50-60 crores were expenses. They also mentioned they paid 68 crores in service tax. Few observations.
ReplyDeletea) if they paid 68 crores in Service tax their income at the minimum should have been 680 crores
b) Where is this 68 crores accounted in 325 crore income.
c) Revenue figures are not adding up if they have 1.9 M customer and if 85 percent paid to be a panelist, assuming min a person gave was 10000, we are talking about 1600+ crores. how come they reported only 325 crore. Also where is the money they recieved by selling the survey data and sale of phones, TVs etc
I have not checked up what was said in the conference. Just a point I want to mention about 68 crores service tax: Co. cannot pay service tax on behalf of the panalists (as per rules). So I guess the service tax paid by the co. is on the revenues it generated by selling its services to other companies. (The subscription chgs by the panalists is against a magazine subscription of Rs 11k pa and that does not attract service tax.) Hence the revenue generated by speakasia would be in the tune of 680 crores.

Can some please explain why survey income takes so long to be credited and referral income is credited immediately?
